Questions
What does the detector score measure?
It is Sightengine's estimate, from the image pixels, of how likely the image is to be AI-generated. We show it as a percentage with a Likely AI-generated, Uncertain or Likely authentic band. Detectors can be wrong, especially on real photos that were edited or compressed and on new generators, and we have not yet published our own evaluation of this detector. Use the score as one piece of evidence, never as proof.
What counts toward the monthly scores?
Each delivered detector score counts once. Failed requests are not counted. The 100 scores reset on the 1st of each month (UTC) and do not roll over. Evidence checks, batches and reports are not limited.
Is my image uploaded?
Only when you ask for a detector score. That image is sent to our server and forwarded to Sightengine for analysis; we do not store it. Metadata and Content Credentials checks, free or Pro, are read in your browser and never uploaded.
How do I cancel?
Open your account page and choose Manage subscription. Access continues until the end of the period you paid for, and the subscription does not renew.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. You can ask for a full refund of any payment within 14 days, for any reason. See the refund policy.
What does lifetime mean?
A single payment gives Pro, with the same features and monthly score allowance, for as long as Image Evidence offers Pro, with no renewals.
